Join us as Logistics and Purchasing Officer (28 - 40 hours a week)

An average working day

It’s Monday morning, and you step into our vibrant office in Sumar, greeted by the aroma of fresh coffee. Today promises to be dynamic. You kick off enthusiastically by inspecting an incoming goods delivery and logging it into our ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics Business Central. In between, a supplier calls to align on a purchase order, and with your proactive approach, you ensure everything runs smoothly.

After lunch, you prepare an export shipment to Canada, complete with accurate export documents and product lists with HS codes. You briefly consult with the sales team to support their planning and handle a customer call about a shipment. At the end of the day, you update the inventory and look ahead to next month’s trade show in Belgium, where you’ll assist with preparations and possibly help with setup and teardown. You’re already excited about it. With a sense of accomplishment, you wrap up, knowing your work drives Trivec and our customers forward.

Your duties as a Logistics and Purchasing Officer

  • Manage of procurement activities and coordination with suppliers.
  • Organize outbound logistics, from parcel shipments to complex transports.
  • Manage export processes, including export documents and HS codes.
  • Log incoming logistics and manage inventory.
  • Coordinate annual inventory with the Trivec team.
  • Support the sales team and project manager.
  • Serve as a backup for telephone inquiries.
  • Occasionally assist with trade show setup and teardown in the Netherlands and surrounding countries.

What we ask of you

  • Experience in logistics, procurement, or international distribution is preferred, or a willingness to learn.
  • Experience with an ERP system, preferably Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, or readiness to master it..
  • MBO-level education (e.g. Logistics or Business Administration) with at least 5 years’ experience; HBO (e.g. Supply Chain) is an advantage.
  • Proactive and customer-oriented, with strong communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Proficient in Dutch and English; affinity with the Friesian region is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (e.g. for trade shows in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium or the UK).
