The process

Trivec was approached with a challenging request: help develop the finishing options. Together with the customer and a paint manufacturer, countless tests were conducted at the Trivec Experience Centre, resulting in multiple innovative finishing concepts.

The primary goal was to produce samples for the launch of the flooring concept at international trade fairs. Additionally, the international dealer network needed to be supplied with these samples. A crucial requirement was that the production line aligned with the customer’s growth strategy.

The main challenge was to develop a finishing line that:

Could support various (pre-)finishing options.
Was scalable and could grow with future demand.
Could produce both small batches for samples and larger volumes for the main production line.

Trivec needed to find a solution that not only met the current requirements but was also flexible enough to accommodate future innovations and expansions.

Based on extensive testing at the Trivec Experience Centre, the line configuration was determined. Key considerations included:

Modularity – The line needed to be easily expandable without major production disruptions.
Flexibility – More (pre-)finishing options than initially planned had to be possible.
Scalability – The line had to be prepared for future growth from the outset.

The Trivec Modular Concept (TMC) provided the perfect solution. Thanks to its modular design, the production line could be adjusted and expanded according to the customer’s needs.
